From Matt Hagan: Another record-breaking milestone! The 2012 Army Ten-Miler (ATM) filled its 30,000 runner field in a record time. ATM officials announced today that the 28th annual race shattered all previous race registration records for both the priority and general registrations. The highly anticipated race will take place on Sunday, Oct. 21 in Washington, DC at the U.S. Pentagon.

WASHINGTON (WUSA)--With programs that emphasize literacy, career development and technical skills, Wider Opportunities for Women (WOW) is changing lives.

For the past 40 years, WOW has been helping women and men gain economic independence. The non-profit regularly hosts career workshops at Strive DC, a partner organization in Northeast Washington.

Delese Harvey, a workshop instructor, finds joy in being a part of this program. She says, "Outside of sort of the own things that I may know coming into the program, I'm learning a lot more to going to school on how to find a job and keep a job actually."
