ANC 5C to Meet on October 19

The Advisory Neighborhood Commission 5C will meet on Tuesday, October 19 at 7 p.m..

The meeting will take place at Trinity College, located at 125 Michigan Ave NE
Washington, DC 20017.

The ANC 5C holds a meeting on the third Tuesday of each month.

At Walk This Way, Fashion Stepped Out Against Domestic Violence

The Second Annual **Walk This Way** Charity Fashion Show took place last evening at The Liaison Hotel in Capitol Hill. The event was hosted by Becky's Fund and Eric Finn Custom Clothiers, and as anticipated, many of D.C.'s social and philanthropic elites were present, including WUSA 9's Angie Goff.

African History and Culture Lecture Series at Woodridge Library

Check out the Bonsai Exhibit at the National Arboretum

Looking to get in touch with your green side?  Check out the Becoming a Bonsai exhibit at the National Arboretum.

The exhibit will be running until September 12, each day from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m..  Becoming a Bonsai will demonstrate all the steps involved in trimming the perfect Bonsai tree.

Artifacts and tools from some of the world's best Bonsai trimmers will be on display.

The exhibit is in the National Bonsai & Penjing Museum Special Exhibits Wing.

Admission to the exhibit is completely free of charge.
