The Italo Ceramica team welcomed more than 120 design industry professionals, media and customers for a grand opening celebration with special guests Andrea Bacchini, North America Market Director for Imola Ceramica, Italo Ceramica’s partner, and artist Alexander Stefan, who exhibited his photography. Stefan also raffled off one of his works during the evening event.

The Italo Ceramica team includes: Enrique Escobar, Estegenet Aga, Michael Shaw, Ivan Diaz, Josh Warner, Magdalena VanBuskirk, Siarhei Stanislavovich, Roza Stanislavovich, Paul Abbott, Michelle Lee, Jason Disney, Anthony Scipio, Kelsey Wetherington, Alan Brown, Sara Stout, Caitlin Kelly, and Dina Reifel.

The grand opening celebration was sponsored by Luxe Interiors + Design magazine and its publishing team of Susan Nixon, Shelley Golinsky and Emilia Philip, as well as Godiva chocolates. With a new 8,500-square-foot showroom, Italo Ceramica, which has been in business for 17 years, imports beautiful tiles from Italy and presents them on approximately 500 large format, 8’ x 5’ sliding panel displays with specially made LED lights to showcase the striking characteristics of each tile. Italo Ceramica’s staff also creates state-of-the-art 3D designs to assist customers in making final tile selections. Italo Ceramica’s adjoining 20,000-square-foot warehouse is stocked at all times, allowing same day delivery as well as by-the-piece returns.

Italo Ceramica’s beautiful, distinctive tiles include the Hall collection, which evokes motion, color and atmosphere through a textural surface created using digital technology. Italo Ceramica also carries exclusive Versace tiles as well as tiles from Bisazza. A collection of Bisazza glass wall mosaics is arranged in the Rockville showroom in a pictorial surface to depict the story of Endimione, a character in Greek mythology. Customers can also create their own personalized pictorial using glass mosaic tiles.

“We were thrilled to open our doors to the community and share our showroom filled with beautiful Italian tiles with guests during the opening celebration,” says Italo Ceramica General Manager Paul Abbott. "By applying our overseas experience to the American market, we’re excited to offer unique tile collections popular in Europe that we feel the American consumer will embrace. We are in a strong position as our US venture is a partnership with one of our suppliers, Imola Ceramica, which brings 186 years of expertise in Italian tiles as well as gives us access to favorable stock and pricing agreements."
